With only five months to go until Christmas, the UK’s largest toy retailer Argos released its predictions for children’s wish lists this year in their Christmas top toy predictions 2015. The 2015 list dominated by toys inspired by the big and small screen and new research shows that almost 90% of children play with toys influenced by their favourite TV shows and films

The most hotly anticipated toys for 2015 have been unveiled in a list dominated by characters from the big and small screen. From Sing-A-Long Elsa, star of the mega hit Frozen, to an interactive Tracy Island from the newly re-mastered Thunderbirds, and Tumbling Stuart toy inspired by blockbuster movie Minions – the list, released by the UK’s largest toy retailer Argos, is set to keep the whole family entertained.

The top favourites on children’s lists include:
– Lego City Deep Sea Exploration
– Minions Tumbling Stuart
– Nerf Modulus
– Real FX

Interestingly, from the 13 toys that feature on the Top Toys 2015 list, British parents revealed that many of the toys are similar to those they played with when they were younger such as Tracy Island, Lego and Barbie, making them even more special this year. Almost half (48%) of parents said they were more likely to play and bond with their child if they had a toy they recognised from their childhood. In addition, a further one in ten (10%), of parents even admitted to wanting the toys to play with themselves!

The new toys for 2015 that parents said they wanted to play with most include:
– Lego City Deep Sea Exploration Vessel
– Minions Tumbling Stuart
– Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa
– Barbie Style Your Way House

As well as the toys that are influenced by the big and small screen, the Top Toy list 2015 also includes a selection of toys that will be exclusive to Argos this Christmas. These include the Chad Valley Three Storey Summer Winter Dolls House, the VTech Toot Drivers Super RC Raceway and the Barbie Style Your Way House.
